MERCY is the final duet from the ballet VOICES created by David Dawson for Staatsballett Berlin in 2021 to the eponymous score by Max Richter and premiered at the Deutsche Oper on 26 September 2021.

Created for, and danced in this special dance feature by world-renowned principal dancers Polina Semionova and Alejandro Virelles. This film, captured by Olaf Kollmannsperger and Filipa Cavaco, is performed with a beautiful, intimate energy and surrounded by the sumptuous minimal architecture of the iconic Neue Nationalgalerie Berlin designed by Mies van der Rohe, quietly reminding us what really matters to humanity are the core principals of human rights and freedom.
